Andrew Nobbay

Andrew currently serves as Finance Director – Performance Improvement with Occidental Petroleum (Oxy) in Houston, Texas. He joined Oxy in Doha, Qatar in 1995 and progressed through a number of financial leadership roles in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Bahrain and Houston. Prior to joining Oxy, Andrew was a senior consultant and auditor with Arthur Andersen in Kuwait and Oman.

Andrew has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Accounting from the University of Bombay (now Mumbai) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Imperial College, London. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. He serves on the Academic Relations Committee of Financial Executives International (FEI) Houston and the Research Committee of the Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF). He has been an investor in public capital markets for over 20 years, and an angel investor since 2013.

Jaco Fok

Jaco is Chief Innovation at OMV Petrom, driving their change towards a more innovative and digitally dexterous company with a healthy portfolio of new business options.

Before OMV, he spent four years at Shell, helping their transition to a more Open Innovation approach. He re-invigorated initiatives like GameChanger (radical early-stage innovation) and External Technology Coordination, and set up internal networks and learning programs to drive culture change. He built Shell TechWorks, an innovative outfit that maximizes the use of external technologies in a ‘skunkworks’ approach for rapid development of new solutions. Jaco also spent 23 years with Royal DSM in progressive roles across four different businesses, including VP Business Incubator and Director of the China Innovation Centre, where he built and inspired global teams to create significant new business. As a member of the DSM Innovation Council, he drove change from operational excellence to innovation excellence

Csaba Fehér
Head of Maintenance and Technology

Csaba Feher with 25 years experience in maintenance, is the head of the maintenance and technology of logistics of MOL Plc. His responsibilities are to ensure maximized plant availability through efficient maintenance management with optimal cost level. Previously, He worked as Group Maintenance senior expert at MOL Group with the responsibility of unifying the maintenance area of group flagships: for example, routine maintenance/turnarounds based on reliability / predictive strategies, CMMS and external systems utilization.

Prior to joining MOL Group, Csaba worked as Maintenance central expert, instrumental engineer, project manager, CMMS consultant at several companies, including MOL Oil refineries, Slovnaft, INA, Eon, Oil service company. Csaba Feher received a degree in Technical Management from Denis Gabor High School from (1999 to 2002) and as Project manager from IPMA in 2015

Julian Zec
Chief Engineer & Manager Maintenance & Reliability

Julian Zec, Chief Engineer CM/CBM, National Oilwell Varco works with development and delivery of condition monitoring and condition based maintenance, focusing on holistic delivery of digital maintenance programs.

Engineering team under his supervision supports technical aspects of CBM programs, currently on over 60 rigs. They use sensory and other information to prevent failures and optimize rig uptime.

He also participates in standardization efforts with ISO, leads joint development of new smart IoT based (DNV and ABS) class programs and university relations.
Previously he was leading development of NOV CM/CBM IoT and analytics “Rigsentry” platform. He has also experience from field engineering, offshore operations and subsea engineering positions.

Julian holds MSc degree in IT from University of Stavanger, and a degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen (NHH).

He has over 20 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry working with a number of senior roles focused on ensuring operational readiness, optimisation of performance, reliability and integrity management. In his current position, Steve is focused on enabling the enhancement of Petrofac’s operations and services through the adoption of technology and its integration into the heart of Petrofac’s service delivery. Steve has been integral to the creation of Petrofac’s digitalisation strategy globally, and in the inception of its state-of-the-art Innovation Zone in Aberdeen, which launched in 2018.

Graduating from Durham University Business School in 1997 moving into Senior Management roles, including a 3-year period as an Executive Director of a SME, learning some of his hardest and enduring lessons. Holding roles as Technical Director O&M and VP Technical Assurance with his previous employer of 10 years, taking up his latest role with Bureau Veritas M&O UK as Global Service Line Director.

A chartered manager, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and member of the Institute of Directors, holding a position on CMI board Scotland and until April 2018 held a position on ECITB board. Two most recent achievements is accepting collaboration awards from ECITB and Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA) for initiating and leading the Connected Competence initiative in industry.

He has held several management positions in the past and at present contributing to the digital transformation by developing a digitally focused business strategy for the ‘future of operations’. Khairil Azwan Khabri

Khairil Azwan Khabri has over 10 years’ experience working for PETRONAS Carigali. He has experience dealing with reliability and maintenance best practices. He is currently focusing on Integrated Condition Base Management Integrated Operation System (ICBMS), PROTEAN (PETRONAS Rotating Equipment Analytics), and as a technical specialist in managing total Malaysia Unplanned Shutdown under Malaysia Petroleum Management. Khabri has vast experience in major Rotating equipment at offshore and onshore i.e. Gas Turbine, Compressor, Pump and etc. He presently works as Head Reliability Manager.

Ray Hall

Ray joined Arundo in July 2018 with a view to spearheading significant growth in delivering Analytics software solutions to heavy industrial companies with a major focus on oil, gas, and petrochemicals.

Ray has held a number of leadership roles in technology companies focussing on the oil and gas industry. Previously, he was the Global Director for Energy at Tessella, a leading Analytics services company. Prior to this he has held senior roles in leading companies such as Aspentech, focused on the downstream oil and petrochemicals market; at Openlink the worlds leading commodity trading software company and also at Emerson Roxar, heading up sales for the subsurface modeling software business.

Ray began his career in computer engineering at Digital Equipment Co.

Alexander Allmendinger
Test Lab Manager
OPC Foundation

Alexander Allmendinger is the Test Lab Manager of the OPC Foundation European Certification Lab and is running the lab since it opened in 2016. In this position, he is working with a great variety of OPC products and solutions on a daily basis. Because he is also working with a wide variety of communication protocols, he has been sharing the vision of the OPC Foundation for many years now. In the early ages of OPC UA he started working with the technology when validating the first implementations of the Unified Architecture stacks. He also helped to prepare one of the first certified OPC UA clients and was maintaining it for several years. Since then he joined almost every Interoperability Workshops to ensure interoperability with other OPC UA products. This finally led to his current position in the OPC Foundation European Certification Lab and is a member of the Compliance Steering Committee.
